A Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity

The past week has been a marathon of milestones: my final day of student teaching, graduating from Hope College, and moving back to Pennsylvania. In the midst of all that, I was blessed with not one, but two, amazing opportunities to teach abroad. After debating the merits of an American school in Morocco and the English Teaching Assistantship in Nepal, I have decided to accept the Fulbright Grant to spend the 2013-2014 school year in Nepal.

At this point, I don't know very many details about the position besides the fact that I will be working with NELTA, the Nepal English Language Teacher's Association, to help improve English instruction throughout the country. I will also spend several days in June attending a pre-departure orientation in Washington, D.C.

Similar to the blog that I wrote during my semester in Cameroon, I hope that this will allow me to easily share my experience with friends and family.
